Parker Partners With Applied Biosystems to Supply Instruments With Three Gases In One

April 24, 2009 - PRLog -- This nitrogen generation unit produces nitrogen, zero air and pump exhaust air by utilizing a combination of a compressor with filtration, catalysts and unique Parker membrane separation technologies.

An integrated low-maintenance compressed air supply is filtered by high efficiency coalescing filters removing all contaminants down to 0.01 micron.  Hollow fibre membranes subsequently divide the clean air into a concentrated nitrogen stream.  The zero air is produced by catalytic oxidation which converts the hydrocarbons and a passive hollow-fibre dehydration membrane is used to create the exhaust pump gas.
