Written in the form of personal journals, this novella tells the story of three members of the Harrington family:  Samuel, his son Edmund, and Edmund’s daughter Charlotte.  The plot unfolds as the lives of this family intersect with two vampires; they succumb to seduction, suffer strange turns of fate, and struggle with this pervading evil influence. All three stories drip in temptation, retribution, and redemption.
