Follow on Google News | ![]() How To Choose A High Quality CameraWe ePathChina known that some people want to buy a digital camera, but they don nnot know how to choose ,so i write this article to tell you.
By: ePathChina.com First thing I want to do is to review some basic terminology. Once you have a decent understanding of the terminology you will be able to understand the different offerings and make a choice that is right for you, without breaking the bank. So, here we go; 1. Megapixels: This is the number of dots per inch that a picture from a particular unit will have. The more megapixels there are per inch the better the picture. You can think of megapixels as a measurement of color density. The more dense the color the more detail you will see in a picture. 2. LCD Screen: This enables you to see what the camera sees. What you see on this screen will be very similar to what the picture will turn out like. For the LCD screen, bigger is better. But, it should be at least 2.5 inches with as high a screen resolution as possible. 3. Image sensor size: The image sensor is the object within the camera that is similar to the iris of your eye. The larger the image sensor is the bigger picture you will be able to capture. Yes, in this case, bigger is better. 4. Zoom Lens: There are as many different configurations of zoom lenses as there are digital cameras. But, there are two zoom lens sizes that you should be concerned with; 28 mm and 70mm. Having both of these lenses is a great start to your lens collection. 28mm lens enable up close pictures; while a 70mm is a good starter lens for distance pictures. 5. Battery Usage Time: This is really important. Burning through batteries when you are out taking pictures can really put a damper on your ability to catch a moment. Also, batteries are very expensive. So, if you have a low battery use time, then you will have to make a heavy investment into batteries. 6. Auto Focus: Auto focus is also known as face detection. On high end cameras with interchangeable lenses this is not very important as it is expected that you understand how to properly focus a lens. But, on lower end digital cameras or digital cameras that do not have interchangeable lenses this is obvious of paramount importance. 7. Flash Recharge Time: If you are taking pictures in an environment that you will be relying heavily on a flash then the faster the better. Nothing destroys a moment like having to wait to recharge a flash. 8. Image Stabilization: 9. Memory Cards: Does the camera rely on memory cards or does it have its own flash memory. Having both is good. 10. Single Lens Reflex (SLR): SLR used to refer to being able to view a nearly exact replica of the picture being taken. Before this technology what was seen in the view finder and the picture taken could have been significantly different. With digital cameras this issue is solved through the LCD screen. For digital cameras SLR stands for how quickly you are able to take a picture after another picture is taken. It is the difference between automatic, semi-automatic and manual. 11. Built in camera editing. This can be very useful. But, the functions are very limited. I would not consider this a primary reason to purchase one camera over another. 12. Macro Functions: Macro functions enable you to bring into focus small things that are very near. In contrast a zoom lens brings into focus a large object that is small. These functions are standard on all digital cameras. But they are limited and for extensive use you may want to look into purchasing a macro lens to complement the camera. 13. ISO Functions: ISO functions allow you to tweak the different electronic settings of your camera. These are standard on all digital cameras. Consult the cameras user manual to learn the functions provided by the camera and how to use them. 14. Size: Although size is not the most important aspect of your camera, it is right up there. You really have to be realistic on what you plan on using this camera for. Knowing what you plan to use the camera for you can choose an appropriate size. Size will also play a role in the price of the digital camera. After you understand these different aspects of the camera,i think you should be choose a high qualities camera.Like our ePathChina,we sale lots kind digital cameras onlin, you can see them at: http://www.epathchina.com/ # # # ePathChina.com is the best electronics wholesaler in China, you can see lots kind electronics products at here,if you need some gadgets, epathchina is the best choice for you.
