Niagara's Housing Website Relaunched

Aug. 18, 2008 - PRLog -- Niagara Falls, Ontario -- Niagara’s popular apartment rental website http://www.niagararents.com has added many new features and remains free of charge to both landlords and tenants in Niagara.

Dennis Dashwood, Manager of Niagara Rents said “We have been very excited with the ideas we have received from our users. They told us what they wanted and we listened”.

Some of the new features are a mapping system to show the location of each property,  greater antispam technologies, easy to find options that make the site more user friendly, listing alerts, more specific search results, Yahoo! Directions and best of all, it’s free.

“We are always looking for new ways to provide our users with the best resources to aid in their search for a new apartment.” Dashwood said, “Finding the most relevant information quick and in an easy manner is critical.”

Niagararents.com began as a personal website for Dashwood back in 2004. He was asked to manage a student house near Niagara College and needed a way to advertise the rooms.

Dashwood says “The elderly man who owned the house was recovering from a heart attack so he placed me in charge of finding students to rent it. I decided to build a webpage with photos and information about the house and was surprised by the response. Since then, the house has sold, the webpage has grown and I continue to offer my services for free”.

Although Niagara Rents does charge a minimal fee for extra photos, the website does not profit.

Landlords can post their properties for rent instantly. The website has 9 categories which include apartments, houses and rooms for rent.
