The national technology policy perspectives are changing as knowledge as key resource receives explicit recognition. Traditional supply oriented science and technology policy is being replaced with Innovation Policy which facilitates flow of knowledge between various actors in the building of National Innovation System.”, said Dr. STK Naim, COMSTECH Consultant while introducing the participants about the need for such courses and trainings on the first day of the Course being held at COMSTECH Secretariat building here in the capital.
Students and researchers involved in development related studies, science and technology policy research, S&T and R&D managers and public servants involved in planning, management and promotion of science, technology and innovation policy are participating in the Course. Human Resource Development (HRD) Policy, Innovation Policy and Management are the main subjects of the course. Detail is available on COMSTECH website.
Researchers and professionals from Maldives, Sudan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Pakistan are participating in this residential course. COMSTECH is offering local hospitality and travel expenditure to a limited number of international participants selected on merit. The Pakistani participants have been sponsored by the nominating institutions.
