Ariane Mahrÿke Lemire, Rawlco-Magic 99 award recipient releases new CD

Ariane Mahryke Lemire releases her first album Double Entendre.
 
April 8, 2008 - PRLog -- (Edmonton) -.    The Blue Chair Café in Edmonton's trendy southside hosts the Release Party for Ariane Mahrÿke Lemire's new album  "Double Entendre"  on April 9th  at 8 p.m. Thanks to funding from Magic 99 Radio's "10k20" grant program, the Edmonton musician, Ariane Mahrÿke Lemire is launching her first CD.

Winner of  Alberta's Gala de la Chanson and the western Canadian Chant'Ouest Festival as well as a semi-finalist at the Festival International de la Chanson de Granby in Granby Québec in 1999, Ariane Mahrÿke Lemire has just co-produced her first album with veteran Edmonton musician and producer Michael Lent.

An impressive array of musicians were brought together to work on this album,  including some of Edmonton's fines seasoned musicians:  Marc Sterling,   Mo Lefever,  Jim Head,  Bob Tildesley, Michael Lent, Nathan Burns,  Daniel Gervais as well as Toronto's  Lyle Mozan, Vancouver's Teddy Borowiecki , and Calgary beatboxer Shamik.


Singer songwriter Ariane Mahrÿke Lemire's album "Double Entendre", like it's name might imply, is a double album, with one CD of original songs in English, and a second CD of original songs in French.

Ariane Mahrÿke Lemire has a background in physical theatre and is a delight on stage.   Catherine Fourges in Vue Magazine called her  "(.) one of the more interesting performances presented on an Edmonton stage in whatever language."

The Blue Chair Café Release Party features Michael Lent on bass and guitar, Lyall Molzan on drums and guest appearances by some of the other musicians on the album.
