PoV is compatible with most major Instant Messaging applications, including Yahoo! Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, MSN Web Messenger, and Windows Live Messenger. In addition, the webcam includes Skype software — enabling users to instantly send snapshots to any of their Skype contacts with a single click. An integrated microphone captures sound for video conferencing.
With its pen-like form factor, PoV encourages picking up and pointing. When not held, the camera naturally rests on a base that stands on a tabletop or can be clamped to a laptop or monitor. A well-designed holder clip allows PoV to be attached or detached with a simple drop/pull motion.
