Tel Aviv, Israel June 9, 2007 – Raw Art Gallery, a young and innovative Israeli contemporary art gallery, dedicated to exhibit and promote emerging and cutting-edge contemporary Israeli and international artists locally and worldwide, today announced that it has opened a new 2500 sq.ft. art space that will include a gallery and a private show room for collectors.
The new art space will allow the gallery to enrich its exhibition program and develop a broader base and accessible outreach to public education.
"Our goal is to become a center of excellence for contemporary art in Tel Aviv, have an effective presence in the cultural life of the city and be a 'worthy ambassador' in the international art community", said Shimon Ben Shabat, Raw Art Gallery founder. He added that "since the gallery was opened in 2005, it has become one of the most prominent, lively and dynamic art exhibitions spaces in the Israeli art scene"
The new web site www.rawartgallery.com will allow online visitors to learn more about the artists, exhibitions and projects. Future plans will include an Israeli art portal and local Israeli art news.
