Rashba, a 34-year Oak Park resident who has volunteered in the community, was one of seven applicants for the board position.

Tjulander, a retired aerospace engineer, was appointed to the Triunfo Water & Sanitation District board in July 2017. He served as Chair in 2021 and as Vice Chair in 2024.

At its January 27 meeting, the Triunfo Water & Sanitation District (TWSD) five-member board of directors elected Leon Shapiro as its new board chair and Carl Jarecky as vice chair.

MWD received nearly 300 artwork submissions from more than 30 Southern California agencies.
