WorkPilot Adds Hand-to-Human Collaboration and Self-Learning Agent to AI Workspace

SAGA, Japan - Sept. 14, 2026 - PRLog -- boice Inc. has released WorkPilot 0.3.378, adding a hand_to_human handoff pattern where AI explicitly stops and asks a person to decide before continuing. The free macOS workspace that unifies Claude, ChatGPT, Kimi and Gemini on existing subscriptions now also includes a self-learning agent that records your workflows, detects judgment patterns, and gets better at your domain over time. There is no per-token API billing - the app uses the Claude Pro, ChatGPT Plus, or Kimi plans the user already owns.

When to pause: hand_to_human collaboration

Until now, AI is either fully autonomous or fully manual. WorkPilot introduces a third pattern: the AI makes suggestions, handles the work, but stops when approval is required. Before deploying code, before sending a message, before choosing between three design directions, the AI halts and presents the options. You decide. The AI never gains send, upload, or deploy capability. In practice, a single instruction spans days of back-and-forth - research, review, refinement - while staying in one thread with full context.

The agent that learns your rules

WorkPilot now records every task you request and every decision you make, storing it as OKF (Open Knowledge Format, the open standard published by Google) - plain Markdown files on your Mac, no cloud lock-in. From these records, the self-learning agent extracts your judgment patterns. Which sources do you trust? What do you check first? Over dozens of workflows, a personality profile emerges - Big Five traits, values, decision style, time horizon - that informs future suggestions rooted in your actual history, not generic rubrics.

Loop engineering and graph engineering unchanged; API fees stay zero

Loop engineering means recurring work is built in conversation ("every Monday, check prices and email me if changed"), not cron. Graph engineering means context flows as a branching graph - child threads contain full investigations and return only summaries - cutting context fed to models to roughly 7%. Everything stays local: conversations, knowledge, and output live in Documents as ordinary files. Only API calls to vendors leave the machine - the same vendors users already pay. The release also fixes Higgsfield video integration, preventing session drops mid-task.
