Building on more than 30 years of igus chainflex® cable expertise, the latest generation doubles the torsional capability of the original CFROBOT8 series, which was rated for ±180° torsion and five million cycles. Through an innovative braided shielding design that allows controlled movement within the cable structure, igus has enhanced flexibility while maintaining reliable shielding performance. The result is a more compact cable with up to 21% smaller outer diameter, making it ideal for robots and automation systems where installation space is limited. The newly launched CFROBOT8.PLUS.030 DeviceNet cable combines maximum mechanical strength with reliable data transmission. Designed for robots, handling systems and lead screw drives, it features a torsion-resistant tinned copper overall shield for superior EMC protection, ensuring stable communication even under extreme motion and mechanical stress. Its oil-resistant and UV-resistant construction supports both indoor and outdoor applications. With the addition of DeviceNet, the CFROBOT8.PLUS family now supports all common industrial bus systems, including DeviceNet, Profibus, CAN bus, Profinet and Industrial Ethernet up to CAT7. Cables are available from stock, can be supplied pre-harnessed, and are offered in one-metre increments without minimum order surcharges, cutting fees or packaging costs.
