By: Hayleys Advantis Limited The new crane strengthens Advantis' engineered heavy-lifting capability across renewable energy, infrastructure and industrial projects. It forms part of an expanded specialised fleet that also includes a 280-tonne crawler crane, wind blade adaptor trailers, tower trailers and prime movers, enabling Advantis to undertake larger and more technically demanding projects in Sri Lanka. The joint venture with Sarens brings global engineering standards and technical expertise to Advantis' operations. The Company's project logistics capabilities span the full delivery chain, including freight management, customs clearance, inland transportation, heavy lifting, equipment positioning and installation support. Advantis also handles factory and power plant relocations. Ruwan Waidyaratne, Managing Director of Advantis Group, said, "By building this capability locally, we are positioning Advantis to support national infrastructure priorities and Sri Lanka's renewable energy transition. This investment gives local industry access to sophisticated project logistics delivered in line with global standards and reflects our continued commitment to green energy and ESG-aligned ventures." As the first deployment of the new fleet, Advantis is supporting Haywind One Limited's 50MW wind power project. The scope covers port handling, transportation, site unloading and the erection of wind turbine components, demonstrating the Company's ability to deliver complex and technically demanding logistics operations in line with internationally recognised standards. Shadil Rizan, Director/CEO of Advantis – Project Logistics, said, "The 900-tonne crawler crane and the wider specialised fleet give us the engineering capability to take on projects that were previously difficult to execute locally. Our teams manage each project end-to-end, from port handling through to installation support, allowing clients to work with a single provider across the entire operation. This level of expertise and capacity is what renewable energy and large infrastructure projects require, and it is now available in Sri Lanka. As project requirements continue to evolve, we also plan to further expand our lifting capacity and equipment portfolio, with the support of our joint venture partner, Sarens For more information: End
