CHICAGO - Sept. 7, 2026 - PRLog -- The Greater Englewood Chamber of Commerce (GECC) and GE Chamber Foundation celebrated the graduation of the latest Englewood Shared Renewables (ESR) EV & Solar Training cohort, recognizing participants who completed training designed to prepare Greater Englewood residents for opportunities in the growing clean energy economy.

The graduation marked an important milestone for participants who developed technical and professional skills while exploring career pathways in renewable energy, solar technology, and the electric vehicle industry.

Throughout the program, participants took part in classroom instruction and hands-on training that connected technical education with real-world workforce opportunities. Graduates gained practical knowledge and experience that could support their next steps into employment, continued education, industry credentials, or entrepreneurship.

The Englewood Shared Renewables initiative supports a broader effort to ensure Greater Englewood residents have access to opportunities created by the transition to renewable energy and emerging technologies. By providing industry-relevant training, ESR helps build a pipeline of local talent prepared to participate in the clean energy workforce.

GECC and the GE Chamber Foundation also recognized the instructors, partners, supporters, and community stakeholders who contributed to the cohort's success. Collaboration among community organizations, educators, employers, and industry leaders remains essential to creating accessible workforce pathways and expanding economic opportunity.

For the newest ESR graduates, the ceremony represented the beginning of their next chapter. Participants left the program better prepared to pursue employment, additional education and credentials, or entrepreneurial opportunities within the clean energy sector.
