PARIS - Sept. 6, 2026 - PRLog -- Bamboo bedding is often sold as if the plant name told the whole story. It does not. Sensoire is taking a fibre-first approach, giving shoppers a clearer account of what bamboo lyocell is, how it differs from bamboo viscose, and what to check before buying sheets or a duvet cover.

Sensoire's bamboo lyocell bedding is made from 100% lyocell using bamboo-derived cellulose, not bamboo viscose or a blend. It sits alongside silk and linen in the brand's material library, each fibre chosen for a different kind of contact, texture and care.

Why the fibre name matters: most soft bamboo bedding is not made by separating fibres from a stalk. The plant is turned into cellulose pulp, then regenerated into a fibre that may be lyocell, viscose or another regenerated cellulose. European rules treat these as separate names. Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 defines lyocell as a regenerated cellulose fibre made by an organic-solvent process, and the United States Federal Trade Commission has warned sellers against presenting viscose or rayon made from bamboo as raw bamboo fibre. Two products can both say bamboo while listing different fibres, weaves and care, so Sensoire encourages shoppers to read the full composition first.

Comfort and care: the current bedding uses a 350 thread count sateen for a smooth surface and fluid drape. It is designed for everyday laundry, with a cool wash at up to 30 degrees Celsius on a gentle cycle, no bleach or fabric softener, and line or low tumble drying. The duvet cover adds four internal ties and a hidden zip to keep the duvet in place.

The collection comes in four formats: a Duvet Cover Set, a Fitted Sheet Set and a Flat Sheet Set, each with two pillowcases, plus Pillowcases sold in pairs. Sizes and colours vary by product, with exact dimensions listed on each product page. The bedding is certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, a system focused on harmful substances in textiles. That certification is one part of the record; it does not replace the fibre label or care instructions and is not a catch-all sustainability claim.
