Swiss Founder Launches GoSafeHome Campaign to Fund a Controlled Human-Companion Pilot

BERN, Switzerland - Sept. 5, 2026 - PRLog -- GoSafeHome, a Swiss iOS prevention-app project founded by Sebastian Bürgy, has launched a crowdfunding campaign seeking CHF 50,000 to prepare and operate its first controlled pilot with 200–500 volunteer participants in Switzerland.

GoSafeHome is designed for moments when a person does not want to make the journey home alone. During the planned pilot, the app will connect a user with an available companion through a live, in-app VoIP audio session. Companion identity and adulthood are intended to be checked before pilot activation.

The product is built around voluntary participation and explicit user choice. Live location remains private unless the user actively shares it during an ongoing accompaniment. Private phone numbers are not displayed or exchanged, and conversations are not recorded.

GoSafeHome also defines firm operational limits. Its SOS function informs only the active companion and does not automatically contact police, rescue services or emergency dispatch. GoSafeHome is not an emergency, police, rescue or crisis service and cannot guarantee safety.

"The goal is not to sell fear. It is to test whether human connection can become a responsible, practical layer of prevention," said founder Sebastian Bürgy. "We are starting with a carefully controlled Swiss pilot and building the legal, privacy and operational foundation before considering responsible international growth."

Funding is intended to support privacy and legal work, verification and moderation processes, technical readiness, testing and pilot operations. Contributions are donations, not investments, and provide no equity, return or profit participation.

GoSafeHome is being developed in Switzerland with the long-term ambition to work with suitable local partners and frameworks in other communities, including the United States. The app is not currently available in the US.
