Patent-Pending F.I.L. Concept Brings Autonomous Mobility to Refrigeration

CHICAGO - Sept. 2, 2026 - PRLog -- F.I.L. – Fridge in Limbo introduces a new approach to household refrigeration: instead of requiring the user to go to the refrigerator, the motorized refrigeration device is designed to travel to the user.

The patent-pending concept combines a refrigerator housing with motorized mobility features, including powered wheels and a rotating base. A connected electronic device can communicate with the refrigerator and request that the unit travel to the user's location.

The concept further incorporates sensors to assist with navigation and obstacle detection as the refrigerator moves through its environment.
