Family Launches Fundraising Campaign To Support Josefina Pastore During Cancer Treatment

LICHTENFELS, Germany - Sept. 2, 2026 - PRLog -- According to the family, Josefina currently receives chemotherapy and has also chosen to undergo treatment involving traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The family emphasizes that they are not making claims about the effectiveness of this additional treatment and that the decision reflects Josefina's personal wishes and circumstances.

The Mannheim appointments currently take place twice a week. The family reports that each treatment costs €180, while regular travel between Lichtenfels and Mannheim adds further expenses. Together, treatment and travel currently cost approximately €600 per week, or around €2,400 per month.

The family's fundraising campaign was established with a target of €25,000. The funds are intended to help Josefina meet the costs associated with her chosen treatment and the necessary journeys to Mannheim over the coming months.

The campaign also reflects Josefina's wish to spend time with her husband, children and wider family while continuing the treatment options she has chosen. Her family describes her as a strong, family-oriented person who has remained focused on the people closest to her during a difficult period.

The campaign organizers say that the funds are administered within the family. According to the campaign information, donations are initially received by Josefina's sister, Daniela Dück, who manages the funds and transfers them to Josefina for the stated treatment and travel expenses.
