Version 2.0 changes that starting point. Key features in this update: A look before it converts — a new preview lets users open EMLX messages individually and see what's there before they become part of an MBOX file. Pick what carries over — rather than converting a full batch, specific EMLX files or folders can now be selected on their own. Now available on Mac — the EML Converter runs on Mac systems in addition to its existing Windows support. A more usable interface — the steps between opening the tool and finishing a conversion have been reworked to cut down on confusion. 19 languages — the interface is no longer limited to English, extending the tool to users working in other languages. "People moving from Apple Mail to Thunderbird or another MBOX based client usually want to check their mail made it over intact, and doing that after the fact is the wrong order," said the Head of Development at DataVare Software.
