Diversity News Magazine Awards Debuts in Hollywood With Honors, Performances and Pageant Coronation

LOS ANGELES - Aug. 29, 2026 - PRLog -- The 1st Annual Diversity News Magazine Awards 2026 made its Hollywood debut August 22 at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre, bringing together entertainers, filmmakers, journalists, artists, designers, entrepreneurs, community leaders and changemakers to celebrate diversity, creativity, achievement and community impact.

The inaugural event featured a red carpet, live performances, fashion presentations, awards, special recognitions and the official Diversity Pageants USA 2026 Coronation.

The ceremony was hosted by Nancy Salim, Esteban Steven Escobar, Dawna Lee Heising, and H.E. Dr. Nathalie Beasnael, representing entrepreneurship, media, entertainment, journalism, humanitarian service and community leadership.

Entertainment highlights included acclaimed vocalist Pepper MaShay (Jean McClain), Jazzlynne BaoChau, Miss Teen Asia USA, performing "The Star-Spangled Banner," Joy Marivic, and Samba performer Jônia Queen.

The fashion showcase featured BONIT GLAM by La Reyna del Glamour, Gabriel Escamilla Fashion & Mask Designs, and Kandahar Market by Helay Ayoub, celebrating fashion, culture and creative expression.

Russ Emanuel received three honors: Trailblazer in Film or Television, Inclusive Fashion Innovator, and Film Trailer Excellence Recognition for Staycation. Multiple honors were also presented to Clinton H. Wallace, Dawna Lee Heising, FAWN, Malou Zagala Toler, Kimmarie Johnson, and Lourdes Duque Baron.

Special recognition included the Legendary Arts & Entertainment Legacy Award for Lourdes Duque Baron, along with honors for Pepper MaShay, Dr. Kevin A. Peng, MD & The House Institute Foundation, Renay Grace Rodriguez, Esq. & Stonewall Democratic Club, Nicole Hahn, Jazzlynne BaoChau, Amaya Andrea Franco, Andrea Huynh, David C. Nguyen, and Bamby Salcedo.

The evening's highlight was the Diversity Pageants USA 2026 Coronation, crowning Nancy Salim — Mrs. Diversity News USA 2026; Dawna Lee Heising — Mrs. Diversity USA 2026; H.E. Dr. Nathalie Beasnael — Mrs. Diversity America USA 2026; and Hasty Stella Poya — Little Miss Afghanistan USA 2026.
