RankCaster AI Study: 5.22M Citations Reveal Key to Long-Term AI Visibility

TEL AVIV, Israel - Aug. 27, 2026 - PRLog -- RankCaster AI, the first proactive AI Visibility Marketing platform, released research analyzing 5.22 million AI citations to understand persistent AI citation patterns.

Key Findings:

• Citation volume misleads: "Spike" pages get 17x more citations than "Persistent" pages but vanish within weeks. Persistent pages last 139+ days.
• Cross-provider presence matters: No single-provider URL achieved Persistent status. Six-provider URLs showed 36.8% Persistent rate.
• Semantic breadth wins: Multi-cluster pages create more AI entry points — core to GEO tool optimization.
• Reference formats dominate: Directories, lists, and rankings show high persistence.

Citation Lifetime Score (CLS)

CLS (0–100) measures persistence across:

1. Provider diversity (50%)
2. Semantic breadth (25%)
3. Late citation share (25%)

CLS distinguishes short-term spikes from sustainable AI Visibility — essential for AI Visibility Engineering.

Quote:

"Traditional SEO asks: 'How do I rank for a keyword?'" said Andy Terekhin, CEO at RankCaster AI. "AI Visibility asks: 'How do I create a page multiple AI systems will use?' Persistence, not volume, measures long-term presence."

Recommendations:

• Create entity-rich pages
• Distribute across AI ecosystems
• Measure citation lifetime
• Use CLS competitively

Methodology: 44 organizations, 5.22M citations, 14,152 URLs, 6 AI providers.
