Pure Water Foundation Nepal Advances Global Humanitarian Water Initiative

KATHMANDU, Nepal - Aug. 24, 2026 - PRLog -- Pure Water Foundation Nepal (PWFN) is advancing a humanitarian water initiative connecting Nepal's Himalayan heritage with clean water access, environmental stewardship and international cooperation.

Established in Nepal as a non-profit, non-political humanitarian organization, PWFN focuses on safe drinking water for underserved communities while supporting purification, sanitation, public health and environmental protection.

Under the banner "From the Himalayas to Humanity — Water for Life. Access for All.", PWFN seeks to bring together governments, development institutions, NGOs, philanthropic organizations, technology providers and communities.

A Mission Born in Nepal

PWFN was founded on the principle that access to safe water should not depend on geography or economic circumstances. Building on Nepal's Himalayan water heritage, the Foundation combines environmental stewardship with humanitarian programmes.

Mahesh Pathak, President & Concept Founder, leads national strategy, stakeholder engagement and implementation in Nepal.

"Nepal has been blessed with an extraordinary Himalayan water heritage. With that blessing comes a responsibility to protect our water resources, manage them sustainably and ensure that clean and safe water improves the lives of those who need it most. Our journey begins in Nepal, but our humanitarian mission belongs to humanity."

Sustainable Water and Humanitarian Funding

PWFN's programmes may include community drinking-water systems, school and health-facility initiatives, sanitation, emergency water reserves, water-safety education and environmental conservation.

The Foundation is developing a funding framework incorporating grants, donor support, technical assistance, CSR contributions and blended finance.

PWFN intends to cooperate with governments, multilateral agencies, NGOs, development institutions and private-sector partners to connect local needs with international funding, technology and expertise.

Rooted in Nepal, Connected to the World

Alongside Pathak, Hon. Chun K. Low, Chairman of the Advisory Board & Concept Founder, provides international strategic guidance, while Dr. Chutamas Vongvorakit, Vice Chairman of the Advisory Board & Concept Founder, supports international cooperation, sustainability and regional engagement.

"Water must be understood not merely as a natural resource, but as a responsibility to humanity. Our objective is to create a sustainable platform where communities, governments, technology, international cooperation and responsible capital can work together to expand access to clean water for generations to come," said Low.

PWFN aims to strengthen its model in Nepal and extend it through international humanitarian cooperation.
