CHAM, Germany - Aug. 23, 2026 - PRLog -- This dual perspective is the central distinguishing feature of the lexicon: it presents classical meridian theory, traditional point functions and Chinese terminology alongside contemporary scientific findings, neurophysiological mechanisms and evidence‑based clinical studies.

The lexicon follows the WHO Standard Nomenclature for acupuncture points and includes Chinese characters, Pinyin transcriptions and internationally recognized point codes. This ensures compatibility with global TCM education and research. Each point entry is linked to its neighboring points, forming complete meridian pathways and allowing readers to navigate the traditional structure intuitively. The integration of Chinese terminology such as 太白, 大都, 公孙 and 三阴交 supports international accessibility and reflects the original cultural context of acupuncture.

A key component of the project is the inclusion of modern integrative medical research. Volume V of the lexicon summarizes evidence‑based analyses of acupuncture point prescriptions, offering a scientific perspective on classical point combinations ( https://www.akupunktur-schwandorf.de/ ). This combination of traditional theory and modern research provides a unique resource for practitioners, students and researchers who seek both historical depth and contemporary clinical relevance.

The lexicon is updated regularly and will continue to expand over time. Although a lexicon is never truly finished, the first development stage already offers a comprehensive foundation for German‑speaking users and international TCM professionals.
