By: Capital Trust Group LONDON — In a major move to safeguard the next generation of global financial infrastructure, iBANK has announced a £50 million investment into SpinQ, a pioneering spintronics quantum infrastructure venture. The funding is specifically earmarked to accelerate the development of Personal Quantum hardware architectures and comprehensive Quantum Training modules, bridging the gap between cutting-edge physics and commercial financial applications. The strategic injection will advance SpinQ's core objective: building the Quantum Operating System (QOS). Unlike legacy infrastructure that operates on classical bits, QOS builds from the spin state up, scheduling superposition instead of simple instructions. By controlling the orientation of electrons rather than just electrical currents, the system introduces a non-volatile, ultra-low-power computing layer capable of securing the iBANK universal ledger (iUL) and financial settlement systems (iPAY and iTreasury) against emerging quantum threats. Driving Commercialisation and Quantum Training The newly announced capital allows SpinQ to scale up its hybrid classical-quantum runtimes and introduce a dedicated Quantum Training track. This educational initiative is designed to train engineers, fintech developers, and risk officers on utilizing the QOS software development kit (SDK). "We are applying institutional rigour to the physical layer of banking technology," Advanced Substrate Research A substantial portion of the fund will also support ongoing spintronic hardware research. SpinQ's hardware track utilizes highly pure Sri Lankan vein graphite to isolate rhombohedral graphene domains. This material boasts room-temperature electron spin lifetimes approaching one microsecond, outperforming traditional graphene by roughly 100 times without requiring extreme cryogenic cooling. Fully Hardened Ecosystem The resulting architecture powers multiple integrated applications:
With hardware validation and phase-based deployment underway, the partnership cements a direct pathway to transitioning quantum physics from lab environments into consumer-ready, secure personal finance channels. End
