The Sonic Revival Launches Kickstarter Campaign for Third Studio Album

TORONTO - Aug. 19, 2026 - PRLog -- The Sonic Revival, an independent rock band led by guitarist and songwriter Francesco Emmanuel, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the completion of its highly anticipated third studio album, It Only Takes One Small Misstep. The campaign is live now through August and invites fans to help finance final mixing, mastering, artwork, and release preparations.

The new album marks a significant milestone in the band's journey following the sudden passing of drummer Andrew Moffat in 2016 a loss that halted the band's momentum and led to an extended period of healing and reassessment. While a second album was released in 2022, that material had largely been written and archived years earlier. It Only Takes One Small Misstep represents the band's first fully realized creative work developed since its return to active recording, now with a new drummer. "This album is more than a collection of songs," said Emmanuel. "It's the story of what happens after life changes course unexpectedly. Sometimes one small misstep can take years to recover from.

This record explores those struggles, but also the hope that comes from rebuilding." The album features 11 new songs exploring themes of tragedy, endurance, growth, and renewal reflecting both the band's musical evolution and the personal journey behind its return to recording. The Kickstarter campaign offers fans a direct way to support the completion of the album while helping keep the music independent. Funds raised will go toward final mixing and mastering (30%), album artwork and manufacturing (25%), music videos and promotional content (20%), marketing and campaign outreach (15%), and Kickstarter fees and reward fulfillment (10%). "It represents a chance to complete something that for a long time, felt impossible to finish," Emmanuel said of the campaign.
