Veteran Actor Takes on a Pivotal Role in the New Character-Driven Automotive Drama from Slam City Films

Slam City Films announced today that Kevin Sorbo has joined the cast of the upcoming feature film SPEED SHIFT: ORIGINS, taking on the role of Kyle "Kicker" Reynolds, a former racer whose legacy — and hard-earned wisdom — become central to the film's story.

Best known to audiences worldwide for his starring roles in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Andromeda, Sorbo brings decades of screen presence to a character built around experience, consequence and second chances.

In SPEED SHIFT: ORIGINS, Kyle "Kicker" Reynolds isn't simply a mentor. He is a man with his own history behind the wheel — someone who understands both the exhilaration of racing and the price that can come with it.

When gifted young driver Colton Harris finds himself at a crossroads, Kyle recognizes something familiar in him: raw ability without the experience to understand where that ability can lead.

Their relationship becomes one of the emotional foundations of the film.
