Steven Alvarado Announces Howling on Paper, His First Book — Coming September 3

MANHATTAN, N.Y. - Aug. 18, 2026 - PRLog -- What happens to a song when the music is gone?

For singer-songwriter Steven Alvarado, the answer is Howling on Paper — his first book, a 136-page, full-color lyric collection bringing together the words from all six of his albums.

Scheduled for release on Amazon September 3, Howling on Paper offers a different way to experience Alvarado's music: the lyrics themselves, gathered together in one volume and accompanied by the original album artwork.

From Mercy and Bleed to The Howl Sessions, Howling Live in New York, Let It Go, and Acoustic Songbook, the collection brings together songs written across different chapters of Alvarado's life and career.

"Seeing all of my lyrics gathered together in a book makes my albums feel complete," says Alvarado. "For the first time, I can look at all of this work in one place and see just how substantial a life in songwriting can be."

Alvarado's longtime record company, Mott Street Records, is releasing Howling on Paper through its new publishing imprint, Mott Street Press.

Steven Alvarado · Howling on Paper will be available on Amazon September 3, 2026.
