Knowband Launches Advanced PrestaShop Security Module for Growing Online Stores

It also integrates with Project Honeypot for real-time IP reputation checks, flagging known spammers and harmful IP addresses before a suspicious visitor ever reaches a store's forms.

Beyond these additions, the module functions as a complete PrestaShop 2FA Module, requiring a time-based authentication code alongside admin passwords, and a PrestaShop WAF Module, screening incoming GET, POST, and cookie data for SQL injection and cross-site scripting patterns before they reach store code. Brute-force protection, IP-restricted admin access, hidden admin URLs, and scheduled anti-malware scanning further strengthen the security framework, replacing what merchants have typically pieced together from five or more single-purpose plugins over time.

The module also includes an emergency recovery URL that lets admins disable restrictive security features in one click if they get locked out of the back office, giving store owners a safety net when configuring stricter access controls.
