SGS enhances bioanalytical capacity with Saint-Benoît laboratory expansion

BAAR, Switzerland - Aug. 13, 2026 - PRLog -- SGS, the world's leading testing, inspection and certification company, has expanded its Saint-Benoît laboratory, a strategic site dedicated to pharmaceutical bioanalysis and drug development for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Located near Poitiers, France, the laboratory has supported clients throughout the development of preclinical and clinical programs for over 35 years..

The expansion adds 500 m² to the Saint-Benoît site and, combined with the renovation of existing facilities, brings its total footprint to nearly 4,500 m² of laboratory space. Designed to support the evolving needs of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, the investment enhances analytical capabilities, accommodates growing sample volumes and enables the management of increasingly complex programs.

The Saint-Benoît laboratory supports clients throughout the drug development lifecycle, from the preclinical phase to clinical trials. Its services include:
- Quantification of small molecules, monoclonal antibodies, biologics, ADCs, RNAs, etc.
- Pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD)
- Immunogenicity testing
- Biomarker assessment
- Radioimmunoassay

All activities are performed in accordance with international GCP and GLP standards, generating reliable, high-quality data to support development and regulatory requirements.
