Citizens for NJ Election Integrity Analysis: 8,103 Voters Removed from New Jersey Rolls in One Week

TRENTON, N.J. - Aug. 11, 2026 - PRLog -- An independent analysis of publicly available New Jersey voter registration and voter history files by Citizens for NJ Election Integrity found that 8,103 voters were removed from the statewide voter rolls between July 31, 2026, and August 7, 2026. The removals occurred during a period when the state voter registration system was reported offline. The group compared the official voter rolls and voter history files obtained through Open Public Records Act (OPRA) requests for those two dates.

• Of the 8,103 removed voters, 2,214 (27.3%) had previously voted.
• Average number of elections in the voting history of the removed voters: approximately 12.3.
• Multiple shared addresses appear among the removed records (some addresses linked to 2–4 removed voters).
• For context, the average number of voter removals over the prior six months was approximately 8,478 per month. The 8,103 removals in roughly one week represent a clear acceleration compared with the recent monthly average.

Important qualification
Using the data the State of New Jersey makes available through public sources such as OPRA, it is not possible to distinguish which of the 8,103 removals were related to the approximately 6,600 non-citizens the Sherrill administration previously acknowledged had been improperly registered through a Motor Vehicle Commission software issue, versus routine voter-roll maintenance (deaths, moves, cancellations, or other standard list-maintenance activity). The publicly released files do not contain flags or coding that separate the two categories.
