wede tech Files International PCT Patent Application for Critical Digital Service Continuity Tech

EVORA, Portugal - Aug. 8, 2026 - PRLog -- Lisbon, Portugal - August 8, 2026 - wede tech, a Portuguese technology company developing infrastructure for the operational continuity of critical digital services, has filed an international patent application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), following its original Portuguese patent application filed on August 10, 2025.

The PCT application was submitted on August 6, 2026 and claims priority from Portuguese Patent Application No. 120488, establishing August 10, 2025 as the priority date for the invention.

The filing represents an important step in wede's international intellectual property strategy as the company prepares to expand its technology into multiple markets and critical sectors.

wede is developing a hybrid infrastructure layer designed to help digital services continue operating when internet connectivity degrades, becomes unavailable, or conventional network and cloud infrastructure is disrupted.

Integrated through API and SDK, the technology is designed to support defined digital workflows through connectivity-aware mechanisms, local execution, alternative communication channels and synchronization once normal connectivity is restored.

The architecture is particularly relevant for sectors where temporary loss of connectivity can have significant operational consequences, including government digital services, healthcare, financial services, telecommunications, logistics and other critical infrastructure environments.

Rather than focusing exclusively on restoring the network itself, wede's approach is designed to provide continuity at the digital service and application layer, allowing critical operations to maintain defined levels of functionality under degraded conditions.

The international PCT filing follows continued technical development and market validation of wede's technology. The company has also received a GO at Stage 1 of the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator and has been invited to proceed to Stage 2.
