| ![]() ECN Broker Cost Report: August 2026By: ecnexecution ecnexecution.com has completed its fifth consecutive Monthly Spread Audit, tracking all-in trading costs (spread plus commission) across six ECN brokers used by professional and institutional- The audit covers five FX majors, spot gold, and five major indices, all converted to a single pip-equivalent cost so traders can compare brokers on the number that actually matters: what a round-turn trade costs on a standard lot. After five months of tracking, a clear picture has formed. Two brokers are doing the heavy lifting on cost. One broker has a structural weakness on a specific pair. And the rest of the market has settled into pricing that hasn't moved since spring. How the numbers are built Raw spreads on their own don't tell a trader much. Every broker on this list charges a commission on top of the spread, and those commissions vary from $4.50 to $7.00 round-turn per standard lot. Quoting spread alone hides that difference. The audit converts every cost to a single figure: all-in cost (pips) = average spread + commission converted to pip-equivalent. For a USD pair, $10 equals one pip, so a $7 commission adds 0.70 pips to whatever the spread shows. Gold uses the same logic, converted to dollars per ounce. Indices carry no commission at any of the six brokers, so spread is the full cost there. Get all the information on https://ecnexecution.com/ End
