NEW YORK - Aug. 19, 2026 - PRLog -- According to ChemAnalyst, The global Nickel Sulfate Prices experienced contrasting movements across major regions during the second quarter of 2026. While prices declined in Asia-Pacific and North America due to oversupply conditions and inventory accumulation, Europe recorded an upward trend as rising feedstock and production costs outweighed moderate demand growth.

Nickel sulfate remains a critical raw material for lithium-ion batteries, particularly nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) chemistries used in electric vehicles (EVs), making its pricing highly sensitive to developments in the nickel market, battery manufacturing sector, and industrial production.

APAC: Nickel Sulfate prices declined as weak consumer demand, rising inventories, and falling nickel feedstock prices outweighed higher production costs. Average prices hovered around USD 4,855/MT FOB Vietnam.

North America: Oversupply, inventory build-up, and increased Asian intermediate inflows pressured prices lower despite improving EV battery demand and steady economic indicators.

Europe: In contrast, Nickel Sulfate prices increased due to higher nickel feedstock costs, sulfuric acid tightness, and elevated energy expenses. Stronger EV demand in Germany also provided market support.
