Designed for ISO Cleanroom Classes 3–5, the FAST 4PNP system positions microchips with an impressive ±0.1µm accuracy while achieving accelerations of up to 100m/s². To maintain a particle-free environment, JAT selected the igus e-skin® flat combined with chainflex® CFCLEAN cables, delivering reliable cable guidance without abrasion—a critical advantage in semiconductor production.

Unlike conventional cable carriers that generate friction and particles, the igus e-skin® flat is certified for ISO Class 1 cleanrooms in collaboration with Fraunhofer IPA. Manufactured from high-performance igus polymers, it offers abrasion-free operation, modular cable configuration, multi-layer expansion, 9 dB(A) lower noise, and is up to 20% more cost-effective than comparable cleanroom flat cable systems.

JAT also values the system's flexibility, allowing cables to be replaced quickly during final machine configuration. Combined with additional igus E6.1 energy chains, the solution ensures long-lasting, maintenance-friendly performance across demanding automation applications.

The successful collaboration has benefited both companies. Feedback from JAT has helped igus further optimize the e-skin® flat mounting system, while JAT continues expanding its use of igus motion plastics across future semiconductor projects.
