Foody Takeout Surpasses 260 Deliveries in 60 Days, Powering Student Food Ordering in FUTMINNA

Aug. 4, 2026 - PRLog -- Foody Takeout, a student-focused food marketplace serving the Gidan Kwano community at the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA), has completed over 260 successful food deliveries within just 60 days of launch – a milestone that signals fast-growing demand for digital food ordering among students.

Since launch, the platform has grown to more than 400 registered customers and partnered with 5 local restaurants – Lix Pastries Chopz & More, 9teez Shawarma & More, Mirah Treats, Mama Abass Food Canteen, and Uncle-B Restaurant – listing over 90 menus, with local dishes topping demand ahead of snacks and wraps. White rice and beans remains the most-ordered dish, with peak activity between 4:00PM and 10:00PM as students return from class.

One restaurant partner has generated over ₦500,000 in sales through the platform. In a standout moment for the team, one customer received her order in just 9 minutes and was so amazed she sent a voice note to Foody Takeout's WhatsApp – now featured on the brand's Instagram page.
