LA JOLLA, Calif. - Aug. 2, 2026 - PRLog -- Zukunft Works' Hard Sci-Fi Series "The Lagranged Shade" Wins IndieFEST Award of Recognition for AI Film

TAIPEI, Taiwan — [Aug/02/2026] — Zukunft Works Ltd.(未來製作所有限公司)announced today that The Lagranged Shade, its hard science-fiction series exploring Hakka heritage through the lens of orbital mechanics, has received an Award of Recognition for AI Film from The IndieFEST Film Awards. The series is produced entirely on Zukunft Works' patent-pending AI-Vis virtual production pipeline, which generates original animated IP through AI-driven filmmaking tools.

The award recognizes Zukunft Works' ambitious AI production, The Lagranged Shade, which reimagines the Hakka diaspora experience against the backdrop of deep-space orbital dynamics, blending cultural specificity with hard-science storytelling. The production showcases the creative potential of AI-assisted virtual production, pairing Zukunft Works' proprietary AI-Vis pipeline with a distinctive visual language built around celestial mechanics and Hakka cultural motifs.

"AI Production has provided the opportunity to visualize this original story in my mind to be "shot" as a film to meet the world.  It is immensely meaningful to receive such an Award of Recognition to me personally and the product team, especially the Direct Hsiang Yu."

In winning an IndieFEST Film Award, Zukunft Works joins the ranks of other high-profile winners of this internationally respected award, including 2021 Academy Award winner "If Anything Happens I Love You" by Laura Dern, Will McCormack and Michael Govier; Oscar-nominee Liam Neeson as narrator of Love Thy Nature; A Path Appears, featuring Oscar-winners George Clooney and Blake Lively; Radical Grace, executive produced by Oscar-winner Susan Sarandon; Davids and Goliath, a searing exposé by Peabody winner Leon Lee; and Touched with Fire, starring Katie Holmes.

Rick Prickett, who chairs The IndieFEST Film Awards, had this to say about the latest winners: "The IndieFEST is not an easy award to win. Entries are received from around the world, from powerhouse companies to remarkable new talent. The IndieFEST helps set the standard for craft and creativity.
