Multiples of America Members Elect New Officers, Plan New Initiatives

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Aug. 1, 2026 - PRLog -- Members of Multiples of America spent the last weekend of July "Riding the Waves Together" for their 65^th annual convention. Held in Warwick, Rhode Island, the convention was a chance for members to network, discuss local leadership challenges, and begin plans for new organizational initiatives.

Kelly Barhight, Ms. B.Positive on Tik Tok and mother of two sets of twins, offered the keynote address, sharing lessons she's learned over years of parenting.

"What I've learned most is that grace matters—especially the kind we give ourselves," she noted. "Not every day is perfect, not every moment is Instagram-worthy, but showing up, loving hard, and trying again tomorrow… that's what counts."

A session on cybersafety and a networking meetup with the organization president added to the lessons learned and ideas shared. And a surprise visit from Author Helene Joubert, mother of 13, including three sets of twins, 1 set of triplets, and 4 singles, brought both joy and inspiration. Helene shared some of the stories of her life journey, stories more fully shared in the book, Joy Through the Journey, which Helene penned at the age of 101.

Business sessions at the convention brought the opportunity to review the work of the organization over the last year, and elect a new board of directors.

In her installation speech, President Prigel Adcock looked back at the span of 65 conventions. Referencing the song, "Seasons of Love" from the musical Rent, she asked members to remember and "measure" the work of the organization, not just in dollars and members, but also "in moments of comfort, in times of support, in smiles given and lives changed." She then challenged them to write down their commitment to doing something that would spark new possibilities for Multiples of America in the coming year.

"Our impact alone is limited. To spark new possibilities, we need each of you…to commit to one small action to promote our organization and its mission or to help your local club make a change. Let's measure the ripple effect of one small action multiplied."
