Advertising giant lights up Cardiff as South Wales expansion continues

CARDIFF, Wales - July 31, 2026 - PRLog -- CARDIFF'S digital skyline has become even brighter after Route Media unveiled four premium roadside screens at two of the capital's busiest gateways.

The investment marks another milestone for one of Wales' fastest-growing out-of-home media companies, which is helping reshape how brands, public bodies and organisations connect with audiences through smart, real-time technology.

Two large-format screens have been installed at Culverhouse Cross and another two at Queensgate Roundabout in Cardiff Bay.

Positioned on the busy A4232 Cardiff Link Road, they capture traffic travelling between Cardiff city centre, Cardiff Bay, the M4 and the Vale of Glamorgan, generating visibility across well over 100,000 vehicle movements every day and creating one of South Wales' most prominent roadside advertising opportunities.

The expansion continues a period of rapid growth for Route Media, whose network now spans more than 1,000 digital and static roadside, rail and retail advertising locations across Wales and Northern Ireland.

Debra James, Section Leader for PTE Business Improvements at Cardiff Council, said: "Working with Route Media on this project has been a positive experience. The team has been professional, responsive, and supportive throughout, and the installation was completed efficiently and to a high standard.

"We are pleased with the outcome and look forward to working together again in the future."

The four new screens further strengthen Route Media's presence in the capital, giving advertisers even greater opportunities to reach audiences at some of South Wales' busiest commuter gateways.

Route Media's continued investment there also builds on its growing presence across the city's transport network, including digital advertising opportunities at Cardiff Bus Interchange and across the wider Transport for Wales estate.

Together, these locations are helping create one of the most comprehensive digital, out-of-home advertising networks in Wales.

Alongside its technology-led expansion, the business has forged partnerships with leading sporting organisations including Cardiff City FC and Swansea City AFC, delivering dynamic campaigns that can be updated instantly to reflect live events, matchdays and changing audiences.

They also work with a growing portfolio of national brands, local authorities and public sector organisations, reflecting the increasing role digital out-of-home advertising plays in modern communications and marketing.

The four new Cardiff screens form part of Route Media's continuing investment programme, with further premium locations already planned across Wales and Northern Ireland as the company continues to expand its footprint.

Dean added: "This isn't just about adding more screens; it's about creating better opportunities for businesses to connect with audiences in the moments that matter. We're excited to continue investing in Cardiff and beyond as our network grows."
