ElevenBack Launches Net Trouble Checker for iPhone and iPad

TOKYO, Japan - July 29, 2026 - PRLog -- ElevenBack LLC announced that Net Trouble Checker became available on July 21, 2026. The free iPhone and iPad app helps people investigate everyday Wi-Fi and internet problems without requiring networking expertise.

Home internet trouble can involve several layers: the wireless connection, internet service, DNS, a destination service or a device on the local network. An ElevenBack analysis of public-use microdata from the 2023 NTIA Internet Use Survey, conducted with the U.S. Census Bureau, found that 16.1% of U.S. households with home internet users said their connection had not met their needs over the previous six months, including for speed, reliability or, where applicable, data caps.

Net Trouble Checker starts with a symptom a person can describe, such as slow Wi-Fi, a frozen video call, a website that will not open, or a printer or NAS that has disappeared from the local network. The app runs checks relevant to that symptom and organizes the observed results into likely causes and lower-risk actions to try next.

Depending on the selected symptom, the app can review connection state, external connectivity, DNS resolution, reference download speed, TCP-based response time, jitter and loss estimates, and candidate devices on the local network. Individual diagnostic tools are available for users who want to check a specific area.

No account is required. Diagnosis results and saved history are not automatically sent to ElevenBack's backend. History is stored on the device when enabled. Reports created for sharing redact IP addresses, MAC addresses, the estimated gateway, hostnames, DNS names and local-device names.

The app supports investigation and decision-making; it does not automatically repair a network, guarantee a speed improvement or claim to identify a definitive cause. Suggested actions let users begin with options less likely to disrupt their network.

Net Trouble Checker is available in English and Japanese for iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. Core diagnosis features are free, with an optional one-time in-app purchase to remove advertising.
