Zyaku Launches Offline-First Emergency Broadcast System For Crisis Communication

Zyaku has launched an offline-first emergency broadcast feature allowing users to queue safety check-ins and crisis messages without an internet connection, with automatic publishing once connectivity is restored.

SAN FRANCISCO - July 29, 2026 - PRLog -- Zyaku, a creator-first social platform, has launched an offline-first emergency communication system designed to allow users to send safety updates and emergency messages even when they have no internet connection.

The new feature, part of what the company calls its Crisis Feed infrastructure, allows a user to compose a safety check-in or emergency broadcast entirely offline. Messages can be categorized by severity, ranging from general information to warnings and critical alerts, and can be scoped to a global, national, state, or city-level audience. Once composed, the message is queued locally on the device and automatically published the moment the device regains internet connectivity, with no further action required from the user.

The system also allows users to continue viewing previously cached content and crisis updates while offline, and includes a dedicated Crisis Feed that surfaces emergency broadcasts and safety check-ins from other users once connectivity returns. According to the company, the feature is intended for use during natural disasters, infrastructure failures, and internet shutdowns, situations in which standard social media and messaging applications typically stop functioning entirely due to lack of connectivity.

"The internet shouldn't disappear when the internet disappears," said Rohit Kashyap, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zyaku. "We built this for earthquakes, floods, wildfires, cyclones, and the situations where communication matters more than anything else a platform usually optimizes for."

Kashyap said the feature reflects a broader design philosophy at Zyaku, which the company describes as building internet infrastructure intended to remain useful during moments of crisis rather than optimizing primarily for everyday engagement. The company has previously discussed similar offline-resilience and crisis-communication features as part of its long-term product roadmap.

Zyaku is currently open to the public without a waitlist or invitation requirement. The company has separately reported that a majority of its platform revenue is paid directly to the creators using it. Further information about the offline emergency broadcast feature and the company's broader platform is available at zyaku.com.
