With the optional items parameter, merchants can submit a JSON array containing details such as SKU, quantity and price, together with optional fields including item type, product name and purchase type. Each item is processed independently, and the parameter remains compatible with existing Screen Order API integrations, allowing merchants to adopt the new capability without disrupting their current implementation.
