SelectGo, a Text-Selection Launcher for Android, Launches in Eight Countries

OKAYAMA, Japan - July 24, 2026 - PRLog -- FREEGENT Inc. has released SelectGo, a free Android app, on Google Play in eight countries: Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and Singapore.

SelectGo lets users select text inside any app and move to an AI question, a web search, a translation, a dictionary lookup, or a shopping search with a single tap. It is designed to remove the repeated "copy, switch apps, paste, search" sequence that many people perform dozens of times a day on their phones.

How it works, in three steps:

1. In any app, long-press to select a word or phrase.
2. Tap "SelectGo" in the text-selection menu.
3. Choose a destination from the sheet — AI, search, translation, dictionary, shopping, and more.

No copying, switching apps, or pasting is required.

Main features:

- One-tap AI: ready-made prompts built around the selected text — such as "Explain simply," "Summarize," "Translate," and "Reputation and reviews" — are sent to ChatGPT. The prompts are editable.
- Services organized in tabs: Google Search, Wikipedia, YouTube, news, shopping, translation, and dictionaries, grouped by category. The available services adapt to the user's country and language settings.
- Quick Actions: frequently used destinations can be pinned directly in the text-selection menu and opened without the sheet.
- Customization: users can add, reorder, hide, and edit actions, including their URLs, and register any website as their own action.
- Guided setup: answering a few questions builds a menu tailored to the user.

Privacy:

SelectGo requires no account and shows no ads. The app does not collect or store the text a user selects; the text is passed to the destination the user taps, in the same way as searching on that service directly. The app does not request sensitive permissions such as location, contacts, or camera.

Availability:

SelectGo is available now, free of charge, on Google Play in the eight countries listed above. It runs on Android 8.0 and later and supports Japanese and English.
