Here Museum: free XR museum of real 3D-scanned specimens, now on desktop and Meta Quest

CHUO-KU, Japan - July 23, 2026 - PRLog -- XPAND K.K. has relaunched its Wow 3D Museum service as Here Museum, an XR (3D/AR) museum platform. Its first museum, Here Museum of Life, presents biological specimens, and the platform is now built to host non-biological museums as well.

The specimens are not CG. They are real living creatures, photographed and turned into 3D digital specimens. Here Museum of Life uses this data under a licence with Kyushu Open University (QOU).

What is new in this relaunch:

• A rebrand to the Here Museum XR museum platform.
• Wider device support: in addition to iOS and Android, Here Museum now works on desktop and on Meta Quest.
• No more access restrictions: a sticker-based unlock used to be required; now every exhibit is open to view.
• AI integration that speeds up the display of every exhibit, with more AI features to follow.
