![]() Luby moves a US-Brazil-Canada remittance company from manual agents to a digital platformWorking with a leading US-Brazil-Canada money transfer company, Luby replaced a largely manual, agent-based process with an end-to-end digital remittance platform, then scaled it with new corridors, digital accounts, and support for 40+ countries.
By: Luby Before the project, the money transfer company depended on agents to process the large majority of transactions by hand, a model that limited how fast the company could add markets or features. Luby was brought in to design and build a digital platform that could replace that manual workflow end to end. The team started with a minimum viable product focused on the core remittance flow, then added capability over successive releases, including new payment corridors, digital accounts, and debit features layered on top of the original platform. More on this delivery model is available at https://www.luby.co/ The rollout after the MVP followed the same phased approach: new corridors first, then digital accounts, then debit features, rather than all three at once. Digital accounts let customers hold a balance on the platform instead of completing a single wire transfer, and the debit features extend that balance into everyday spending, moving the product closer to a full digital wallet than a single-purpose remittance app. Because senders and recipients often sit in different countries, the interface also had to work across more than 40 countries and languages on both ends of a transfer, not just for the person sending the money. The engagement moved the company from a process that was about 95% manual to a platform that runs digitally across its markets, according to the case summary. It also established a continuous delivery model between Luby and the client, with new features added on an ongoing basis rather than through periodic large releases.
