GBAMFS Shares Intellectual Property Feedback and Guidance to US Congress

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - July 20, 2026 - PRLog -- Gaming Brethren Advocates Mutual-aid Federation & Society (GBAMFS) today announced the formal submission of its public policy materials to members of relevant committees in both the US House and Senate as part of an effort to begin a broader legislative dialogue on the preservation, stewardship, and long-term accessibility of hallmark, culturally-significant video games, movies and other media.

The submissions include GBAMFS' Intellectual Blight / Cultural Eminence Doctrine brief and related policy proposal, intended to encourage discussion of modern preservation challenges, consumer expectations, and the cultural significance of interactive (and other) works. [Noted: Transmedia (one property; many formats) is becoming commonplace.]

GBAMFS views these submissions not as the conclusion of a policy effort, but as the opening of a public dialogue and debate through the legislative process. We expect an ongoing, vigorous, and lively discussion among lawmakers, industry, scholars, preservationists, and the public regarding the future administration, maintenance, and protection of our shared multimedia, artistic, technological, and cultural heritage.
