Zyaku Publishes Digital Manifesto Calling for Internet Built on Ownership, Trust and Human DignityZyaku Inc. founder Rohit Kashyap has published an eight-part manifesto on Medium outlining a new philosophy for internet infrastructure centered on creator ownership, trust, resilience, and human-first AI.
By: Zyaku Inc. The manifesto covers eight distinct themes: the evolution of internet incentives from value creation to attention capture; what Kashyap describes as an invisible attention tax paid by creators and communities in exchange for access to "free" platforms; the shift from audience-building to creator ownership as the defining economic model of the next internet; trust as architectural infrastructure rather than a product policy; the obligation of technology to function during crises and infrastructure failures; the role of artificial intelligence in amplifying rather than replacing human capability; the case for a digital constitution built around permanent principles; and a call to builders, creators, journalists, and communities to shape the internet's next chapter. Kashyap writes that the internet's problems are not the result of bad intentions but of business models that systematically rewarded engagement, outrage, and addiction over value creation. The manifesto argues that changing those incentives, rather than adding new features, is the central design challenge of the next generation of technology platforms. On creator ownership, the manifesto states that reach can disappear overnight while ownership compounds over time, and that the next creator economy must be built on durable relationships rather than platform-controlled visibility. On trust, Kashyap argues that transparency must be an architectural property of a platform rather than a policy document added after launch. On artificial intelligence, the manifesto takes the position that AI should eliminate limitations from human work rather than eliminate humans from the creative process. Zyaku has built its platform around these principles, including a creator revenue model that distributes the majority of earnings directly to creators, a journalism feature called Living Story designed to preserve the evolution of reporting over time, Safe Space wellbeing tools for creator mental health, and offline-first architecture for crisis communication and resilience. Zyaku is currently open to all creators, journalists, podcasters, writers, artists, educators, and community builders without invitation or waitlist.
