igus Launches drylin® C: The First Lubrication-Free Roller Guide

GENTING LANE, Singapore - July 9, 2026 - PRLog -- igus, a global leader in motion plastics and lubrication-free linear technology, has introduced the new drylin® C roller guide, the first roller guide system designed with a third adjustable roller to deliver exceptionally smooth manual adjustments without lubrication.

Developed to support increasing demands for accessibility, reliability and low-maintenance operation, the drylin® C linear guide enables doors, covers, displays and other movable elements to glide effortlessly with minimal operating force. The system is particularly suited for applications in mechanical engineering, interior design, self-service terminals, transportation and hygienic environments.

At the heart of the innovation are three rollers made from high-performance plastic. Unlike conventional metal roller systems that require lubrication, the drylin® C operates completely dry, eliminating metal-to-metal contact. The result is quieter movement, reduced vibration and maintenance-free performance. Combined with integrated ball bearings, the rollers achieve an ultra-low coefficient of friction of µ = 0.05, enabling smooth displacement forces with loads of up to 20kg per carriage.

A standout feature of the drylin® C roller guide is its ability to accommodate curved profiles with radii from 500mm and above. This capability opens up new possibilities for curved sliding doors, monitor adjustments, yacht interiors, machine safety doors and space-saving, barrier-free toilet systems in trains.
