Newton Welcomes Help Meowt Catfé: A New Destination for Cat Lovers, Community & Cat Rescue

NEWTON, N.C. - July 7, 2026 - PRLog -- NEWTON, N.C. — Newton is preparing to welcome a one-of-a-kind nonprofit destination where every visit helps save cats.

Unlike a traditional animal shelter,  Help Meowt Catfé combines adoptable cat lounges, a café, a community education center, a boutique retail shop, volunteer opportunities, and special events into one welcoming space dedicated to cat rescue and community engagement.

"Our vision is much bigger than a cat café," said Bella Green, Founder and Purrmayor of Help Meowt Catfé. "We're creating a destination where people can relax with adoptable cats, enjoy great food and drinks, attend events, learn about animal welfare, and become part of something that changes lives. Every guest helps make a difference."

Operated by Help Meowt Catawba, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Catfé is designed to be a gathering place for families, tourists, volunteers, and animal lovers. Guests will be able to spend time with adoptable cats, enjoy coffee, tea, juices, and healthy snacks, shop locally made gifts and cat-themed merchandise, participate in educational programs, and support local rescue efforts with every purchase.

Every lounge visit, membership, donation, and retail purchase directly funds cat rescue, foster care, medical treatment, adoptions, and community outreach programs that help improve the lives of cats across the region.

Help Meowt Catfé also plans to expand its impact through rescue partnerships, educational initiatives, and future affordable pet care programs that help keep pets healthy and in loving homes.
