LEDI Announces New International Advisory Board to Expand Impact in Liberia and the United States

ATLANTA - July 7, 2026 - PRLog -- Liberia Economic Development Initiative (LEDI) is pleased to announce the appointment of four International Advisory Board members, who bring decades of cross-sector expertise in education, strategic operations, healthcare, and international project management, significantly strengthening LEDI's ability to execute its core mission "to reduce poverty and change lives."

"We are incredibly excited to welcome these exceptional leaders to our Advisory Board," said Joan Curran Darkortey, CEO of LEDI. "Their collective knowledge and commitment to community empowerment will be instrumental in steering LEDI's long-term impact and footprint in Liberia and in the US."

The Advisory Board will play a critical role in providing strategic guidance, fostering new partnerships, and enhancing organizational effectiveness as LEDI works to empower youth and underserved populations.

Introducing the LEDI International Advisory Board:
  • Hillery Cambre: Hillery is an accomplished instructional leader and results-driven educator with over twenty years of experience driving educational transformation and improving student outcomes. She specializes in building effective instructional systems, developing educators, and fostering programs focused upon primary education and literacy for multicultural, early learners.
  • Telice Gillom: Telice is an Operations and Supply Management executive, published author, and professional speaker with 25 years of cross-functional experience. A graduate of The Ohio State University and lifelong community servant, she is passionate about connecting with the African diaspora and has visited 21 countries.  She will leverage her decades in business operations to support LEDI's mission.
  • Joyce Siah Jones: Siah is a Healthcare Operations Leader and currently the Senior Operations Manager at Emory Healthcare's Winship Cancer Institute. She holds a bachelor's degree in business with a Healthcare Management concentration and is pursuing her MBA. Building on her rich history as a long-term LEDI volunteer, she brings extensive healthcare management expertise to help strengthen LEDI's health initiatives and mobilize resources between the US and Liberia.
  • Abraham Mustapha: Abraham is an accomplished Project Management and Sustainability leader with over 30 years of combined private and public sector experience leading high-impact development initiatives across Africa. He holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance and an MSc in Sustainable Development. Abraham will ensure LEDI initiatives have long-term sustainability and program impact.
