The release also adds support for connecting to MCP servers that use OAuth authentication, helping teams integrate AI workflows with secured enterprise services.

Working with the AI assistant is now smoother in long-running sessions. Automatic Conversation Compaction helps prevent interruptions caused by context limits, while reasoning displayed in the chat for OpenAI thinking models gives you more visibility into how the model reaches its answers.

For development workflows, the new Dev Agent Chat Mode provides a more capable agentic experience: it can explore your project, propose an implementation plan, and help with larger-scale changes. This is complemented by new specialized development skills for XSLT, XSD, Schematron, and XSpec, which give the assistant more targeted context and improve the quality of generated code and recommendations.
