The SPIN Awards Marks Everett Drake's 10th Straight Year Presenting the Everett Drake Distinction

ATLANTA - June 29, 2026 - PRLog -- As The SPIN Awards prepares to celebrate its historic 10th Anniversary during the 10th Annual SPIN Awards Weekend Experience, October 22–24, 2026, in the Atlanta area, it is also recognizing the individuals whose faithful partnership has helped shape the organization from the very beginning. Among them is Gospel music veteran Everett Drake, who marks his 10th consecutive year presenting the Everett Drake Distinction in Radio Award.

The milestone celebration will culminate at the Lawrenceville Arts Center, where Everett will once again present one of the Weekend Experience's most meaningful traditions.

For more than three decades, Everett Drake has been a featured vocalist on BET's Bobby Jones Gospel, the longest-running original program in BET history, ministering alongside many of Gospel music's most celebrated artists while sharing the message of Christ around the world. His distinguished career includes performances with Garth Brooks, Wynonna Judd, Lyle Lovett, Martina McBride, Donna Fargo, Brooks & Dunn, and many others.

While Everett is widely respected for his career in Gospel music, those who know him best recognize something even greater—his heart for people. He has invested in artists, broadcasters, ministries, and industry leaders alike, serving as a trusted friend whose humility, servant leadership, and genuine love for others have left a lasting impact across the Gospel community.

The Everett Drake Distinction in Radio Award was created to reflect the spirit of the man whose name it bears. When The SPIN Awards was established, Everett graciously allowed this special presentation to carry his name and has faithfully presented it ever since. The award recognizes individuals whose service, leadership, integrity, and lasting influence have strengthened those who SPIN the Gospel message.
